Joining POP Programming

For each type of POP programming, there are different eligibility requirements.

Music Centers (K-8th Grade)

POP’s Music Centers are where most of our programming takes place. Students at these sites have POP programming each day after school. To be eligible, students must attend one of the following schools:

  • Impact Charter School West
  • St. Francis de Sales School

Chamber Music (8-12 grades)

For more experienced students, we have our Chamber Music program. This takes place at Roman Catholic High School after school but happens 3 days each week. Chamber Music is intended for intermediate to advanced level players. There is no age requirement, but typically students range from grades 8-12 with at least 2 years of playing experience.

We have partnered with KenCrest Early Learning Center in West Philly to help students engage with music as early as possible. Students who attend the KenCrest West can choose to attend Impact Charter School West when they graduate and continue with their POP education.
