Jonathan Biss
Praised as “a superb pianist and also an eloquent and insightful music writer” (The Boston Globe) with “impeccable taste and a formidable technique” (The New Yorker), Jonathan Biss is a world-renowned educator and critically-acclaimed author, and has appeared internationally as a soloist with the Los Angeles and New York Philharmonics, the Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco Symphonies, and the Cleveland and Philadelphia Orchestras as well as the London Philharmonic, the Royal Concertgebouw, the Philharmonia, and Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, among many other ensembles. Biss is also Co-Artistic Director alongside Mitsuko Uchida at the Marlboro Music Festival, where he has spent fifteen summers.

Can I pay by check?
Yes! Make your check payable to Play On Philly and mail it to PO Box 8662, Philadelphia PA 19101. Include a note that the check is for either a sponsorship or tickets and include the name(s) of the guest(s) so that name badges can be prepared for you.
What portion of the ticket is tax deductible?
For $50 concert ticket purchases only, no part is tax deductible. For $150 reception ticket purchases, no part is tax deductible.

What parking is available?
- Penn parking garage at corner of 38th and Walnut Streets (entrances on both streets)
- Valet parking at The Inn at Penn at 3600 Sansom Street
- Garage at the corner of 40th Street and Walnut Street (at Acme)
- Street Parking: Much of the available street parking around the Annenberg Center is free after 8 PM. Please check parking signs carefully.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
We are committed to making your visit to the Annenberg Center as comfortable and accessible as possible. Guests who prefer to avoid stairs are invited to use our street-level entrance, located through the plaza with the digital sign across from the Inn at Penn and Louie Louie on Walnut Street between 36th and 37th Streets. At the base of the staircase, you’ll find double doors with an ADA-accessible entry. Simply ring the bell, and a member of our team will be happy to greet you, guide you to the elevator, and escort you to the Feintuch Lobby for the reception and/or a seat in the Zellerbach.
This entrance is reserved for guests requiring accessible access. If you anticipate needing additional assistance, we encourage you to call ahead so we can best support your visit. Accessible seating is available once the house opens. One companion is welcome to accompany each guest during the escort; additional members of your party may enter through the main entrance. We look forward to welcoming you and ensuring you have a smooth and enjoyable experience.
