The amazing string trio Time for Three visited POP at St. Francis de Sales on April 15. This was their second visit to POP. Last year they visited Freire Charter Middle School. The members of Time for Three: Zach DePue (violin), Nick Kendall (violin) and Ranaan Meyer (double bass) are all graduates of The Curtis Institute of Music where they got their start just playing as friends. Now they are a nationally known trio who perform everything from classical to country western to bluegrass to jazz. Or course our students were really wowed by their playing and had so many questions to ask from, "How old were you when you started to play violin?" to "What countries have you visited?"
We learned that all three musicians played sports as youngsters and even had to be pushed to practice their instruments.
We graciously thank The Philadelphia Chamber Music Society for lending Time to Three to POP!
